Highly prized and harvested in early spring, our First Flush English Green Tea captures the energy and freshness of the season’s very first growth. Hand-plucked at dawn using only the top two leaves and a very tender bud, this outdoor-grown whole leaf tea reflects the purity and vitality of the Sussex countryside.
Within minutes of harvest, the leaves travel just 500 yards from field to factory, where they are carefully hand roasted to preserve their natural sweetness and vibrant character.
About This Tea
The ultimate green tea, the liquor is pale lemon-green, light and bright on the palate with gentle vegetal notes, soft sweetness, and a delicate hint of seaweed. Smooth and refreshing, it finishes with a lingering touch of umami.
Each batch is traceable by harvest date and row, revealing the subtle seasonal nuances of our Sussex terroir. The leaves may be infused multiple times, with the second infusion offering further depth and elegance.
