Full Description
Harvested in early spring, this first flush whole leaf black tea captures the awakening of the leaf reflecting the it’s joy for life. Grown entirely outdoors in the Sussex countryside and hand-picked using only the top two leaves and a bud, it offers enhanced depth, subtlety delicacy, brightness, and refined structure in every cup.
Within minutes of harvest, the leaves travel just 500 yards from field to factory, preserving their freshness at its peak.
About This Tea
The liquor is burnished copper in colour, with vibrant hibiscus, citrus and floral notes, low astringency, and a long, gently woody finish. The dry leaf carries aromas of dried fruit and English hedgerow, while the fully oxidised wet leaf reveals subtle hints of chocolate and warm wood.
Each batch is traceable by harvest date and row, expressing the subtle seasonal variations of our Sussex terroir.
