Full Description
The 23ct gold leaf reflects our Celtic forebear’s belief that placing precious items in water brought them divine help especially for health. Near to the estate in 1863 a large Iron Age and Celtic treasure, The Mountfield Hoard, was discovered. We believe our Tea is precious and we want people who enjoy it to secure blessings, vitality and happiness too.
Try our special edition, premium gold tea for a heightened tea experience.
About This Tea
The liquor is burnished copper in colour, with vibrant hibiscus, citrus and floral notes, low astringency, and a long gently woody finish. The dry leaf carries aromas of dried fruit and English hedgerow, while the fully oxidised wet leaf reveals hints of chocolate and warm wood.
Each batch is traceable by harvest date and row, expressing the subtle seasonal variations of our Sussex terroir.
The dancing leaves produce a pale lemon-green liquor with a light, sweet vegetal character and a hint of seaweed. Smooth and balanced, it carries no astringency and finishes with a lasting note of umami. The dry leaf reveals aromas of seaweed, toasted sugar, fresh grass and candy floss.
Each batch is traceable by harvest date and row, reflecting the subtle seasonal variations of our Sussex terroir.
